Dr. Hanai obtained his doctorate from Nagoya University primarily for research in the field of bioactive natural product chemistry. His dissertation focused on the isolation of a novel plant hormone involved in cell proliferation and differentiation of plants. He worked at Akita Prefectural University as an Assistant Professor on research of a novel bioactive substance involved in the growth of plants and basidiomycetes. He joined Hiraki & Associate in 2008.
